Causes of Low Output Voltage in TL431:

Incorrect Reference Resistor Values: The TL431 regulates the output voltage based on the ratio of two resistors (typically in a voltage divider configuration). If these resistors are incorrectly chosen or the values are too high, the TL431 may fail to provide the correct output voltage. This leads to underperformance, with the output voltage being lower than expected. Insufficient Current Through the Ref Pin: The TL431 requires a certain amount of current to flow through the reference (Ref) pin to function properly. If the current is too low (due to either a weak current source or high resistance in the circuit), the TL431 may not regulate the voltage correctly, leading to lower output voltage. Solution: Replace the TL431 with a new one, ensuring that the replacement is genuine and correctly rated for the application.
